Question an strange overlaping

Keywords: overlaping geometry test
Forum: Geometry
Date: 19 Apr, 2005
From: Juan <Juan>

I have created a ring using G4Polycone with 3 pieces added using
G4UnionSolid. In the middle of the ring, I have a G4Tube.
Both of them are inside the same mother volume.
When I run the /geometry/test/grid_test, I have an overlapping daughter
volumes error. The overlapping coordinates correspond to the part of
the tube with the same vertical coordinates than the ring.
When I visualize with "wired", I do not see any overlapping as the inner
diameter of the ring is large enough compared with the outer diameter
of the tube !!.

Is there a problem with /geometry/test/grid_test ? how reliable are the
results of this test command?
