None get volume name or material from space point

Hi, I would like to write a routine that would generate photons at random positions in an irregularly shaped piece of plastic. I thought I could randomly generate them, and then reject ones whose creation point was not in the plastic. I thought I could do this if I could find a routine that would tell me, given a G4ThreeVector for the space coordinates, what the material was at that coordinate. However, I have not been able to find the appropriate routine. Any help would be appreciated. Sarah Eno
