Question large box filled with identical tiny spheres

Hi,

I want to simulate a large box made of one material filled with identical (both size and material) small spheres. The spheres material is different from the box material.

I am using a triple "for loop" to place the spheres' physical volumes with different copy numbers at the corresponding coordinates, all having the same logical volume. But the memory consumption is large.

I looked at the various parametrisation options and Nested Parametrisation seemed a good choice. But the material is the same for all spheres, so why set the material?

I would be very grateful for any suggestion on a best way of modelling this setup.
