Hi Vladimir,

Thanks for your answer. Looking at the $G4INSTALL/examples/extended/electromagnetic/TestEm3/src/DetectorConstruction.cc class, it looks to me that I'm defining correctly my material. I've also tried to use the NIST manager, as shown in the class:

 G4NistManager* manager = G4NistManager::Instance();
 G4Element* elN  = manager->FindOrBuildElement(7);
G4Element* elO  = manager->FindOrBuildElement(8);

  G4double density = 1.000*g/cm3;
  G4Material* mat = new G4Material("Air", density, 2);
  mat->AddElement(elN, 70*perCent);
  mat->AddElement(elO, 30*perCent);

but it gives me the same error.
