Question Translation/Rotation of group of different solids

Forum: Geometry
Date: 03 Jul, 2016
From: Leonardo Ghizoni <Leonardo Ghizoni>

Hi all,

I'm building a satellite structure in Geant4 and I have a couple of separated modules: power, communications, sensors etc....and each module is installed on a PCB board.

Each module is composed by couple of components, which I'm defining in the geometry.

My question is, is there an easy way to translate/rotate each complete module without having to edit each component coordinates? I've seen something regarding Assembly volumes, but I'm not sure. Even if I want to use one module in another geometry, I always have to keep editing the coordinates of each component.

Thank you in advance.

Leonardo.
