Thanks for your reply. However, this is precisely the question. How is Geant4 interpreting the rotations specified in an gdml file? As an active or passive rotation of the given object. As it looks from the both the root ogl and the HepRApp visualization of a gdml file, the rotation is interpreted as a passive rotation of the associated object (which is surprising but not necessarily wrong). I just wonder if anyone could confirm this. Maybe I will have better luck in a different forum. Thanks anyway.
