Question multiUnion option in GDML

Forum: Geometry
Date: 27 Jul, 2014
From: Elias Roussos <Elias Roussos>

I am trying to build a geometry using, amongst others, the multiUnion option from the latest version of GDML (3.1.0), but I get an error (G4GDMLReadSolids::SolidsRead() Unknown tag in solid: multiUnion).

I downloaded the latest GDML schema and point to them in the start of the gdml file, but the error is still coming up. Does this mean I need to make a new installation of GEANT4? I think the multiUnion option was introduced later than the GEANT4 version I have installed (4.9.6p2). Is there a way to update this installation, just to get the new GDML libraries (if that is the problem)?

Otherwise, can I make boolean operations in earlier versions of GDML between a solid and a boolean solid?
