Question Pieces of Surface used in G4BREPSolid

Forum: Geometry

Hello everyone!

I've tried to use G4BREPSolid to create a solid using CAD model. Although I know that this kind of solid is retired and replaced by G4TessellateSolid, I am still interested in it.

My problem comes when I use non-planar surface such as cylinder, cone. I found that it is only possible to create a "regular" that with a specific length. It means that I cannot create a cylinder cut by a arbitrary plane, nor a piece of cylinder face with arbitrary boundary curve. But this happen often in CAD geometry.

Am I understand correctly about these non-planar surfaces?

Best regards, Yuefeng
