Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

I am using the G4PVParametrised because the Volumes are - as you say - parametrised by a simple function. One groove is a concentric annular section describing the "surface" of a real lens. All grooves have the same width. This results to a changing height for every groove because the "real lens" is more flat in the inner than in the outer regions. This is the simple function that parametrises the Polycones. So at that point, each polycone is a rotation of a triangle-face (wich i call the profile) with a constant length for the bottom "arm" or "line", changig radius to the middle of the lens (rotation point) and changing height.
In addiditon to that, i tried to give a rounding to the hard edges (which is calculated just by the height of a groove), that leads to the form that you can see in the photos i attached in my previous post. the top edge rounding worked good, but the rounding at the "connection between the grooves" gives the problem that when i raise the "ending height" of each groove to fit to the startheight of the next (outer) groove (as shown in the "groove_notworing" attachment the calculation of the geometrics of lets say 200 grooves (0 being the very inner groove or the very middle of the lens and 200 being the outer ring of the lens) will break at lets say groove 15. so for the tracking of the optical photons, the lens consists only of the inner 15 grooves.
If i would do it by PVPlacement, i would have to change the whole program, which would take too much time for me. It would be very great to get it work, using the Parametrised function.
