According to your code you rotates the axes to get new daughter frame. Let XYZ is the mother frame First rotation: rotateY(90*deg) means 90 degree rotation clock wise around Y. So: X1=Z, Y1=Y, Z1=-X since you place the solid in X1Y1Z1, it means its orientation will be Z1 or (-1,0,0). Second rotation is about NEW frame X1Y1Z1: rotateX(90*deg)=rotateX1(90*deg) now X2=X1=Z, Y2=-Z1=X, Z2=Y1=Y and you place the solid in X2Y2Z2 or (0,1,0)
