Question Rotation matrix

Hi all,

I have 3 solids, a half sphere, a tube and a cone arranged in this format

   | |
   | |

I need to maintain this arrangement while rotating the solid. One way which I did this is to put all 3 solids in another volume (mother) and then rotate the mother. This works. However, I have discovered that this option is not good enough for me as the size of the mother volume is a hindrance at the small tip. If I apply the rotation directly to the individual objects, I have an an outcomelike this:

         \ \
          \ \
           \ \
            \ \
             \ \

  / \
 / \

In words, the volumes do rotate, but are displaced relative to one another and the original arrangement is lost. Does anyone know how to fix this? I will appreciate your responses.

Charles
