Question parameterised Daughter Volume

Hello,

I am trying to build a detector which has size, rotation and position specified from a comma separated value file. I also need the daughter volume properties to be determined in relation to the parameterised mother volume.

My question is can I parameterise both the mother and daughter volume.

I have sucessfully paramatrised the mother volume, but the daughter is giving me some problems.

Here is what i have so far for the daughter.

G4LogicalVolume* LogicalVolume = physVol->GetLogicalVolume();

  G4VPhysicalVolume* DaughterPV = LogicalVolume->GetDaughter(0);
  G4LogicalVolume*   DaughterLV = DaughterPV->GetLogicalVolume();
  MyG4Ellipsoid* DaughterS = MyG4Ellipsoid*Daughter->GetSolid();

DaughterS->SetSemiAxis (xlength-5*nm, ylength-5*nm, zlength-5*nm); DaughterS->SetZCuts(-zlength+5*nm,zlength-5*nm);

The problem is that when I fire particles through the detector, the daughter does not appear inside the mother volume.

Is this the correct way to change the properties of the daughter solid?
