Question Parametrised Geometry

Forum: Geometry
Date: 12 Apr, 2011
From: <Dr_Cards>

Hi,

I have a geometry that consists of a cube of titanium which contains various other objects within the titanium mother volume. The titanium mother volume is contained within the world volume which is composed of air.

I need to replicate this geometry by placing the cube at random positions and has random sizes. The positions and sizes are read in from a CSV file. The geometry within the titanium box remains the same for all boxes, only the box size changes.

My question is, how can I place all these different size boxes without producing a huge number of different solids and logical volumes with all the different sized boxes?

Thanks in Advance

Kind Regards

Michael Douglass
