Dear all,

solved. The problem was this line.

> std::vector<G4Material*> realBrainVec(1,realBrain);

Must be replaced with

> std::vector<G4Material*> realBrainVec(2,realBrain);

as the NestedPhantomParameterisation.cc class from the example expects two entries in this vector. As expected, it was something I hadn't seen.
