Question Rounded Edge Cylinder

Forum: Geometry
Date: 23 Nov, 2010
From: Eric <Eric>

Hi All- I am trying to make a cylinder with perfectly rounded edges (meaning where the side meets the top, it is rounded with a radius of x).

My original thought was to do a union between a torus and a cylinder but I am worried that the 3/4 of the torus that I don't need will affect my particle interactions on the inside of the volume. Also,

The paraboloid and ellipsoid give rounded edges, but not exactly a circular radius.

Any clever solutions? Anyone dealt with this before?

Thanks.
