Hello Siarhei,
 STEP and IGES are the two most common interchange formats for CAD packages.
Commercial libraries can be licensed to manipulate these files.
 As Gabriele said, the user manual is up-to-date as far as existing solutions
for handling CAD geometries are concerned, and there are no new solutions in 
the pipeline coming from the Geant4 collaboration.
 What free CAD software are you currently using? I would suggest targetting
GDML as your output format, as all of the Geant4 primitives are supported in 
GDML.
 By the way what problems are you encountering with tesselated solids within 
Geant4?
