Dear John,

I think I am already doing what you suggested as follows:

G4double fWorldLength = 150. *nm;
G4GeometryManager::GetInstance()->SetWorldMaximumExtent(fWorldLength);
G4cout << "Computed tolerance = "
      << G4GeometryTolerance::GetInstance()->GetSurfaceTolerance()/nm
      << " nm"
      << G4GeometryTolerance::GetInstance()->GetRadialTolerance()/nm
      << " nm" <<G4endl;

With this, the surface tolerance is 1.5e-09 nm, the radial tolerance 0.001 nm, which should be fine for volumes with sizes of 0.5 nm.

However, I still cannot see those volumes in the OGLIX.

Since the computer on which Geant4 is running is hosted by our IT-department, I am waiting for them to install DAWN - which Sebastien suggested.

Please let me know if I need to set anything else.

thank you, Marion
