I am interested in using external CAD software to construct Geant4 geometries, but I could not find any good tutorial for that.
I have read Geant4 documents and some threads in this hypernews category, and found that I could convert CAD files to Geant4 via GDML export/import. In this way, ST-Developer and FASTRAD seem to be the only solutions.
I would like to know how Geant4 experts practically use these tool. I understand that CAD <-> Genat4 conversion is theoretically possible. But is there any good tutorial? I installed FASTRAD on my laptop, but it is not easy to use compared to more standard CAD software such as AutoCAD.
Would anyone tell me a good presentation/document/web pages which could educate me using CAD with Geant4 in practical way, please? If possible, I would like to use AutoCAD.
