Question Problems with some isotopes

Forum: Geometry
Date: 07 Jan, 2010
From: Ralph Massarczyk <Ralph Massarczyk>

Hello,

In my program, i shot an equaly distributed gamma beam on different targets. I am interested in scattered particles energies in different directions. My program works fine, when I started with a Krypton, a Beryllium and a Boron target. Now I changed my target to a composition of BaCO3 with an enrichment of 136Ba. The program runs for a minute and after that it does not stop, but just waits in a calculation of some secondaries. I checked this, by using tracking/verbose 1. Maybe it is still calculating, but I do not know.

Here is the link for my data,( it's my zipped folder) http://www.fzd.de/db/Cms?pOid=30034

The composition is defined in the Detectorconstruction, called FZDbaco3 and Koelnbaco3. Maybe i made there some error, but it worked the same way, when I had a Krypton target. I also changed the targetmaterial, for example to boron and my simulation runned fine. But if I just use the Barium or Lanthanum, from the G4database, the program crashes.

Thanks for your help

Ralph

PS: I am using version 4.9.2.p01
