None geometry overlap- optical fiber inserted in glass box

Hi everyone,

I created a simulation of particle detector. It is composed by multiple layers of scintillating glass with iron as inter-layer. Optical fibers are inserted in each scintillating glass layer.

When the scintillating process is triggered, the optical photons will go through glass fiber. By the wavelength shifting properties of the fiber core, I should be able to carry the light out of glass layer.

However, the problem I met is, the optical photons ignores the fibers- like they are traveling in a pure scintillating glass box. Therefore the light is not able to be carried out.

However, if I just shoot light into a single fiber, everything works fine.

I somewhat believe this is due to Geant4's bug but I'm not very sure- it can also be my problem.

My algorithm is simple- I created a glass box, and use G4placement to insert fibers. I also tried to use G4Replica to insert the fiber, and yet it does not work as well.

Can anyone give me some advise on solving this problem? Thanks so much in advance!
