Question geant4 transportation issue

Dear all,

I'm having issues with my geant4 simulation. I'm simulating the passage of high energy ions through two planes of silicium. I'm running the simulation with carbon genericIons. The kinetic energy of ions is 3TeV.

I get a strange transportation process behaviour. The energy deposit of this process is always a multiple of a certain value (here 6.6). This behaviour disappear if I run the simulation at 300 GeV. What is the reason for such a behaviour ?

My physics list is a standard one with only EM processes.
