I an trying to simulate a LYSO scintillator in which i have a crystal and at the back of it a photocathode is attached i have made both the crystal and photcathode sensitive detector. I am shooting gammas on it and would like to count the optical photon hit position on photocathode for each of the gamma scattering vertex.
first I would like to count the scattering gamma vertex in scintillator suspend it of a moment and count the corresponding no of secondaries which is optical photons in this case on the photocathode then againg start count the next gamma vertex and then again corresponding optical photon on photocathode hit and so on until gamma is fully absorbed.
any suggestion will be greately appriciated
