Hi Dave,

You might want to look at the code:

http://www-geant4.kek.jp/lxr/source/examples/extended/optical/LXe/src/LXeSteppingAction.cc#L108

used inside a UserSteppingAction to get the name of the "CreatorProcess" of each secondary generated during a step. (Note, the complicated way to loop over the new secondaries - as opposed to all secondaries for the track). You can limit you request to just (secondary) positrons. This will give you the nuclear reaction. Now, as for which atom, that'll be a question you should post to the Hadronic Physics Forum (there may not be a public method to extract this information).
