So I was looking to use the Novice Example 2, under geant4 at examples/novice/N02, to track particles as they move in amagnetic field and I had noticed that if you just set all the material to vacuum, and just have a particle at a given energy say .3 MeV, and set the magnetic field to something like 1000 gauss that for a proton being generated through the field that it passes through the chamber volumes and each of the chambers serves as a marking point for the circular trajectory and then, after it passes through all 5 chambers, it finishes the circular trajectory and then the visualization shows the particle being bent in a nearly vertical line after the proton passes through all 5 chambers.
So i can see this novice example was designed to have the particle pass throught he 5 chambers as its trajectory when it is bend by a magnetic field. Is there any way to make the whole trackinbg volume part of the trajectory and not just the 5 chamber volumes ?
Also, can the Novice Example 2 an ideal example to use to visualize a proton bending in a magentic field in vacuum ? I had thought it could be if enough chambers are used to form the trajectory, but maybe there are examples that are best. I had also though that electromagetic example 5 and the field example field01 are good, but I was wondering if there are newer exampels out there that I am not aware of that are well suited for it.
