Dear Katalin, Novice example N04 expects old /HEPEVT/ Fortran common block. For the new generation event generators such as Pythia8 which use HepMC event class, please try examples in examples/extended/eventGenerator/HepMC directory. Please note that these examples use HepMC in CLHEP which may be slightly different from HepMC in some generators. The G4 example N04 uses the old, Fortran-based version of > Pythia6 and the output file pythia_event.data looks very different from > the new output... is there already a method implemented to use Pythia8 > output files in Geant? > > Cheers, Kati > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > Visit this GEANT4 at hypernews.slac.stanford.edu message (to reply or > unsubscribe) at: > http://hypernews.slac.stanford.edu/HyperNews/geant4/get/eventtrackmanag > e/933.html
