  This is exactly what the function GetTotalEnergyDeposited() gives (maybe the word 'total' is confusing).
  The kinetic energy of generated e- is never counted, since they will be tracked later, and contribute for further local energy deposition.
  Hence, there is no risk of double counting.

  May I suggest you to choose a big cut (1km) in order to prevent any e- production,
  to shoot a charged particle with tracking/verbose 1 and to analyse what is printed.
