None GetStepStatus() == fGeomBoundary - Problem

Hi there,

I'm still simulating a proton-beam and I want to count all particles which pass z=100.

Therefor, I defined a thin layer of vacuum at z=100 (worldmaterial is air) and added the following lines to "":

const G4StepPoint* pre = step->GetPreStepPoint(); G4ThreeVector prePoint = step->GetPreStepPoint()->GetPosition(); G4double z = prePoint.z(); if(pre->GetStepStatus() == fGeomBoundary && z>99.9*mm) {...}

unfortunately, it doesn't work.

If I do type: if(pre->GetStepStatus() == fGeomBoundary) {...}

it seems to work. But since I have serveral volumes in front of the vacuumlayer, not only those boundary-crossings which I'm looking for will be countet (at least that's what I'm afraid of).

Can somebody tell me what's wrong with the first way ?
