None How to get Step-Position information ?

Hi there,

I've simulated the following: A gun which sends protons through a carbon-made collimator. (I want to send 10E11 p in and get about 10E8 p out).

To count the protons which have passed through the collimator, it would be fine to get position informations of the single steps between PreStep- and PostStepPoint. Then I could define a layer behind my collimator and every time a step crosses this layer, I might count this.

I don't want to simulate a sensitive detector, if it's not nessecary. In the Geant4ApplicationBook i found:

"Information in G4Step includes: ... Increment of position and time between PreStepPoint and PostStepPoint"

Does anybody know how I can get the data I need ?

Thanks; Asim.
