Hi,

Could someone tell me how to generate a hemispehere using General Particle Source Module ? I have to calculate the detector background on a space-based mission due to Cosmic ray particles from the inner surface of a hemisphere . Though it is easy to generate a hemisphere using MyPrimaryGeneratorAction.cc, via the gun. But the energy distribution should be through a user-defined histogram. It has been said that hemisphere can be generated in gps, via biasing. But, in the manual it is not clear how the biasing should be done.

Could someone please explain biasing to me, and how it can be used to generate a hemisphere ...

Thanks , Manju Sudhakar
