Question Setting track weight on transportation steps.

Keywords: transportation track weight bias

How does one set a track weight in a process for a transportation step? I can set track weights on discrete process steps, but not on transporation.

My process PostStepDoit looks something like this:

//--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G4VParticleChange* RayWeightProcess::PostStepDoIt(const G4Track& aTrack, const G4Step& aStep)
{
  double ThisWeight;
  this->pParticleChange->Initialize(aTrack);

  // calculate weight
  //      ..
  ThisWeight = 0.5;

  this->pParticleChange->SetParentWeightByProcess(true);
  this->pParticleChange->SetParentWeight(ThisWeight);
  return G4VProcess::pParticleChange;
}
//--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking at G4VParticleChange::AddSecondary(G4Track *aTrack), it seemed that I needed to set the fSetSecondaryWeightByProcess of G4VParticleChange. But for transportation steps, the weight I set is still ignored.

Thanks in advance,

Richard Thompson
