Dear Geant4 fans and experts,
Can a track be totally removed by using: track->SetTrackStatus(fStopAndKill);
It seems that way according to Geant4 advance example of underground, but in my case it does not work as it should. I'm looking at a particular z position range of tracks in the SteppingAction: if((track->GetPosition().z()>7188.2)&&(track->GetPosition().z()<7239.))
Then, if at that range the track is in a particular volume then I keep it, otherwise I need to kill it with all it's secondaries so no sign of it reaches the sensitive detector. This should be done for our background studies. Surprizingly I get more electrons in the detector than without having some of them killed! So there is certainly a problem.
I also tried: track->SetTrackStatus(fKillTrackAndSecondaries);
But that gave me even more hits than the previous one.
Can anyone show me the correct way to do this? Is there another way to have the tracks stoped?
Thanks a lot in advance,
