Question Removing secondaries to save memory

Forum: Event and Track Management
Date: 15 May, 2005
From: Giles Reid <gar44@student.canterbury.ac.nz>

I am trying to simulate monopoles travelling through a large volume, and I have found that at high energy the number of secondaries produced consumes all of my memory. I want to be able to kill the secondaries straight away, since I'm only interested in the total energy loss, not what happens to each secondary. I can't work out how to do this since the tracking/stepping action don't get to see the secondary tracks until after the primary has finished tracking.

Thanks, Giles Reid
