I'm afraid I don't fully understand your question.

Are you shooting more than one primary gammas? 
If it is the case, why do you shoot them instead 
of shooting just one gamma per event?

What do you mean "the event ended in volume1"?
Do you mean there is no energy leak outside of volume1?
Or, do you mean the primary gamma dens up in volume1?

Anyway, in case a step of a track is limited by a volume
bounday, the PostStepPoint has a flag. 

 G4StepStatus ss = aStep->GetPostStepPoint()->GetStepStaus();
 if(ss==fGeomBoundary)
 { // a step ends up on a volume boundary and getting out
 }

Similarly, in case a step of a track has just got into a
new volume, the PreStepPoint has the same flag.
