Question Force energy change in the SteppingAction

Keywords: SteppingAction energy
Forum: Event and Track Management
Date: 13 Apr, 2005
From: Luciano Pandola <pandola@aquila.infn.it>

Hello,

I would like to know whether is possible to force the change of energy of a given particle in the SteppingAction(), keeping all the other parameters (polarization, momentum direction) unchanged. I tried with

step->GetTrack()->SetKineticEnergy(myEnergy);

but it seems to me that the new information is ignored.

Thank you for your help, Luciano
