Yes, I have used mySteppingAction.cc, as suggested and I have been able to obtain the secondary electron spectrum.
The reason why I need the sensitive detectors to also register hits when a secondary particle, be it a photon or electron is incident on it, is because I'm designing an anti-coinsidence system for a CdZnTe detector...
What I aim to do is this, First obtain the entire secondary electron spectrum from mySteppingAction.cc Then, obtain the number of photons which give rise to secondary electrons in my Anti-coincidence system - this will give me information about the electrons that need to be elimated from the total electron spectrum... This will give me a clean spectrum.. In my case, I need only the photo-peak, I aim to eliminate the Compton scattered electrons from the full electron spectrum to give me the full electron spectrum.
So if I make my Anti-coincidence system sensitive, then if hits are registered, I can eliminate those events and thus clean the electron spectrum.The Anti-coincidence should be made sensitive to the secondary Compton scattered photons and those fluorescent photons that escape from the detector volume.
