None Track and Step ID Confusion

Hello,

I am simulating a scintillation detector exposed to a monoenergetic gamma source (662 keV). I am a beginner and having issues in understanding the process flow behind my results.

Please see a simple output file attached. So, what I understand is track-1 of event 13 starts with 662 keV (t=0.0002) and a part of this energy is transferred to an electron (454.081 keV) with 207.919 remaining in gamma (454.081+207.919 = 662) at t=0.00029. This makes sense.

Similarly at t=0.000307, 125.712+82.2075 = 207.919 which also makes sense to me. My confusion is regarding 33.164 keV, where is this energy going?. The gamma has energy of 125.712 keV off which electron takes 92.5475 keV, then remaining 33.164 goes where in the scintillator?

I use the following in my simulation:

kineticE: preStepPoint->GetKineticEnergy(); pE: aStep->GetTotalEnergyDeposit();

I would appreciate if someone could explain me the physics/process flow of what is happening and when. I am having hard time in visualizing in event, track and stepID. I did read the difference online but couldn't grasp much.
