Question G4Cerenkov

Forum: Event and Track Management
Date: 23 Oct, 2017
From: Mark Chernikov <Mark Chernikov>

Hi. There are some methods in G4Cerenkov class: 1) SetMaxNumPhotonsPerStep; 2) SetMaxBetaChangePerStep. Are these restrictions physically reasonable, or is it done because of stack overflowing? And what if i want my physical model be maximally matched to the real physical processes. Should I in this case simply not call these methods and not set any value? Do I understand correctly that by default neither is limited? In my case, the maximum number of photons generated is about of several hundred per track.
