Hi Amit,

I am afraid that the G4Track's 'VertexKineticEnergy' is NOT set until after G4SteppingManager::SetInitialStep method. It is still the default zero of the G4Track constructor in your ClassifyNewTrack method. I agree that this is a pitfall in the instantiation of G4Track. One would expect that all class members are set in StackingAction.

For now, just change to:

track->GetKineticEnergy() or GetTotalEnergy()

since the track is at the vertex in StackingAction.

Strange, I would have expected that you fKill all secondary tracks with your code, opposite to what you say happens.
