Question Detecting Secondaries but not Primaries

Forum: Event and Track Management
Date: 02 Jun, 2015
From: Christopher Walker <Christopher Walker>

I have adapted the microelectronics example and I have placed a Sensitive Detector so that I can detect electrons scattered from the Silicon sample. I find that if the source is between detector and target, then I only detect the secondaries generated in the sample (not the backscattered primaaries). If I place the detector between the source and sample, I detect the primaries on their way to the target and the secondaries, but again I do not detect the backscattered primaries. Does anyone have an idea what might cause this?

Thankyou Chris Walker
