Re: Question Core dump on unknown interaction (Kareem Kazkaz)
Date: 12 Dec, 2003
From: Kareem Kazkaz <kareem@u.washington.edu>

Hello again.

I have a little more information now. The simulation aborts after PreUserTrackingAction but before UserSteppingAction. There doesn't seem to be any user code methods/functions called between these two methods (at least that I can identify).

The particle that is about to be tracked when the simulation aborts is always a neutron. The energy of the neutron doesn't seem to be related to the simulation crash (e.g., on a recent simulation it was a 591keV neutron that killed the program, but that particular run had already successfully dealt with neutrons of energy 12keV, 885keV, 95keV, 1639keV, 970keV, 871keV, 1780keV, 479keV...you get the picture).

Again, I welcome any and all suggestions to track this bug down. Thanks.

Kareem Kazkaz
