Thanks for your response. I exactly did the same and here is the code in the main file:

 G4VModularPhysicsList* physicsList = new QGSP_BIC;
 physicsList->RegisterPhysics(new G4StepLimiterBuilder());
 runManager->SetUserInitialization(physicsList);

and I have the following in the DetectorConstruction:

 G4double maxStep = 0.0001 * m;
   logicFinPlane->SetUserLimits(new G4UserLimits(maxStep));

for this value of maxStep I got the following output:

As you can see steplimitter works for other particles, however, not for the neutron.
