Question Geant4 crashes on 13th test particle

Forum: Event and Track Management

From: Jack <Jack>

Hi,

I have a setup where things run fine for the first 12 test particles, but on the 13th one, something goes wrong at the 6103rd step. Watching the output, there end up being nonsense values for the global particle position at this step. The nonsense values are "-1.#J". Has anyone encountered this before? What can I do?

My setup is such that the number of steps for any given test particle run varies between something like 700 and over 100,000. But this one fails on 6103, and others can go farther than that.

Thanks!
