Question magnetic field in a vacuum box

Keywords: magnetic field in a vacuum box
Forum: Fields: Magnetic and Otherwise
Date: 08 Jun, 2005
From: <maryam@jlab.org>

Dear all,

I have a 3 tesla uniform magnetic field in a box of vacuum which is rotated 30 degrees with respect to my beamline.
The field properly bends the beam but sharply not like a smooth curve.
But the e- beam also gets bent another 30 degrees sharply, when it exits the volume.
Could anyone help me figure out why this is happening?

Many thanks,

Maryam
