Please, take a look at another recent posting of mine in this forum:

What you need to do is construct your own G4FieldManager:

G4FieldManager* pFieldMgr = new G4FieldManager(myField,pChordFinder);

instead of getting it from:

G4TransportationManager* pTransportMgr = 

G4FieldManager* pFieldMgr = pTransportMgr -> GetFieldManager();

In the latter case you are in effect setting your field everywhere because the G4TransportationManager's G4FieldManager is by definition the field manager for the 'world'.

You then set, as you have done, your G4FieldManager to the logical volume:

  lAbsor = new G4LogicalVolume(sAbsor,                  //shape
                               absorMaterial,           //material
                               0);              //name

I know this works for local magnetic fields - let's see if it also works for local electric fields.
