Question Geant4 doesn't use ion's charge defined by user in magnetic simulation

Forum: Fields: Magnetic and Otherwise

Dear Geant4 developers,

In my code, C12 ion was defined in UserPrimaryGeneratorAction with a charge, like basic example B3a. But my magnetic is not concerned about the defined charge. Previously, this issue was debated in this forum. (To detailed information, please refer to below hyperlink: http://hypernews.slac.stanford.edu/HyperNews/geant4/get/emfields/198.html)

I guess that it is (maybe) due to the EffectiveCharged function in G4ionEffectiveCharge class. In the function, the charge valuable is defined by PDGCharge of ion, it means that the Geant4 cannot use charge value defined by fParticleGun->SetParticleCharge(ionCharge);

Could you check and modified this problem??
