Hi,

I am working on simulating an ionization chamber. The basics of the detector are: Pressure: 35 torr CF4 Electric Field: 1000 volt/cm Beam: HeavyIon (GenericIon)

In the simulation I was exepecting to see the electrons drift due to the electric field however this is not observed. Rather, the electrons continually undergo ionisation until KE=0.

On the forum I have read that one approach to simulate the electron drift is to couple geant4 with the Garfield/Maxboltz simulations. However, I wanted to check and see if anyone knows how to simulate the electron drift purely in geant4.
