The existing design was left open exactly for such a case.

You can use the existing classes for everything except your field and  
the equation.

Please check the recipe for creating a running application with an  
electric field.  Simply replace the electric field's pointer with the  
gravitational (and the equation too) when creating the ChordFinder and
