Yes, you can use tesla*m for gradient value. Important thing is to use the units, this make you sure that used value is correct. Using only local Field Manager is also possible and from your code it is good defined.

From your message is difficult to say why the warning message is appears, but it can be a overlapping or problem with a solid.

Can you,please, give more details about your geometry and the volume -Austenitic_Steel_Collar-?
