Question multiple field maps

Keywords: multiple field maps magnetic field
Forum: Fields: Magnetic and Otherwise

I'd like to use multiple field maps in my simulation. Does the G4FieldManager
allow this?

I basically have:

     G4FieldManager   *pFieldMgr;
//	 G4MagIntegratorStepper *pStepper;

      //Field grid in A9.TABLE. File must be in accessible from run urn directory
      G4MagneticField* MuonMagField;
      G4MagneticField* MuonMagField1;
      G4MagneticField* MuonMagField2;

      MuonMagField= new MuonField3D("front_field_original.Table", zOffset);
      MuonMagField1= new MuonField3D("transport_file1.Table", zOffset);
      MuonMagField2= new MuonField3D("transport_file2.Table", zOffset);

      G4ChordFinder *pChordFinder = new G4ChordFinder(MuonMagField);
      G4ChordFinder *pChordFinder1 = new G4ChordFinder(MuonMagField1);
      G4ChordFinder *pChordFinder2 = new G4ChordFinder(MuonMagField2);

      pFieldMgr->SetChordFinder( pChordFinder );
      pFieldMgr->SetChordFinder( pChordFinder1 );
      pFieldMgr->SetChordFinder( pChordFinder2 );

But this doesn't seem to work at all (none of the fields register in the
simulation). However, this does work when I use only one field map.

Is it possible to make G4FieldManager accept multiple maps, or do I need to
combine them into one file?

Thanks in advance,
