Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

I have used and manipulated several of the Geant4 examples and I have learned a lot. I am not a C++ expert but I have reviewed a bit about C++ and the ideas of "Class" and "Object". I am trying to understand how to build an actual example, different from those I can get from the training package. For my specific goal, I would like to have an electrostatic field, magnetic field and score the number secondary electrons generate in silicon by an e-beam hitting the silicon.
I can imagine that I should be able to use Geant4 as part of a process to simulate electron beam induced current (EBIC) in a semiconductor, or do something like simulate a vacuum tube or Geiger-Muller tube and then test it in the simulation.
I have seen how the examples provided call on a "Class" in the Geant4 library, but I don't always know what library to call and how to interface with it.
1) Is there documentation I am missing on how to build up an application from scratch, that might help me understand how to make my own? I have looked at the developers manual.
2) Any video instruction?
3) I use Microsoft visual studio (sorry). is there any suggestion on software that would help me keep better track of names between header and c++ files?
I've seen Geant4 do some amazing things. I appreciate the support.
